POONCH : Four bovine animals were rescued and one person arrested by Poonch Police on Wednesday when these were being smuggled into the Valley through Mughal Road.
On the basis of a specific input, SDPO Surankote Ajay Sharma under the supervision of SSP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain, laid a police Naka at Pushana on Mughal Road and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration No. JK02AA-4570. During checking, the police recovered four bovines which were being illegally carried to Srinagar.
The police has seized the vehicle and arrested one Mohammad Farooq, son of Abdul Kabir, resident of Thannamandi, District Rajouri and registered the case FIR 186/14 under Section 188 RPC for investigation.
