JAMMU:Police on Wednesday arrested a bovine smuggler and rescued four bovine from his possession.
According to reports, during intervening night of 12th and 13th April, police laid at Naka at Ratnal and intercepted a tempo (Mahindra pick up). During checking four bovines were found in the tempo. Police arrested tempo driver and rescued four bovines. The arrested bovine smuggler has been identified as Hanief son of Bashir, resident of Rakh Barotian Vijaypur, Samba. In this connection, police registered a FIR No. 40/2016 under Section 188 RPC, 3PCA Act and started investigation.
