Former Director Information pays homage to Mufti

JAMMU: Narinder Singh, former Director Information and Advisor J and K Rachnatmak Samaj (a Gandhian Global Society) and advisor Civil Defence, Jammu expressed grief over sad and sudden demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed.
Describing Mufti as seasoned politician, humble and a noble human being Narinder said he was a great visionary and true statesman.
He said that he was not only a popular leader of the state but also at national level, who held the important portfolio of home minister in the Central Govt. when the militancy in the J and K State was at its initial stage. Singh said that he had the occasion to work as HoD of various departments during his tenure as Chief Minister and found him justice loving, able administrator and reasonable in his approach towards various issues to the progress and welfare of the J and K State.
He added that he always called a spade a spade and was straightforward and upright politicians who had made remarkable achievements.
Narinder further said that demise is not only a loss to the State but also to the country as a whole.
The void created due to his demise can hardly be filled in the field of politics, Narinder maintained.
