Former AAG joins NC in presence of Farooq Abdullah

JAMMU: Former Additional Advocate General (AAG) and Congress leader, Advocate Mohammed Anwar Choudhry on Thursday joined National Conference and pledged to work for carrying forward the mission of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah in strengthening the unity between various segments of society and regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Welcoming Advocate Choudhry in the party fold, National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah hoped that he will work for strengthening the party at the grass roots level and help in achieving the objective of empowering people politically.
Besides, Provincial President Devender Singh Rana, senior leader and former Minister Mohammed Akbar Lone and State Secretary, former Legislator Th Rachpal Singh and Provincial Vice President Brij Mohan Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Advocate Choudhry reposed faith in the leadership of Dr Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah, saying National Conference alone can steer the State to peace and progress. “The track record of the party stands testimony to the fact that National Conference has all along worked for upliftment of the people, especially those belonging to weaker sections of society, and equitable development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh”, he added.
Advocate Choudhry is also President Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar United Front and approved newscaster for Doordarshan and All India Radio.
