GANDOH: Forest Department on Tuesday seized 39 clefts of timber from the houses of three persons.
As per the details, on the specific information, a team of FCR Gandoh headed by Range Officer, Forest Range Bhalesh Mohd. Zafarullah Sheikh, Bashir Shapoo, Zaffar Parnali, Dap Singh, Om Raj, Showket Ali, Bharat Bushan and Gh. Hussain along with the concern Block Officer Sujaan Singh and Beat Guard Gas Raj under the supervision of DFO Bhadarwah Vivek Verma conducted the search operation in houses of Om Raj son of Hari Lal, Roshan Lal son of Hari Lal and Chatter Singh son of Mani Ram all residents of village Monie near to Comptt. 48/ Bhalesh and seized illicit timber having Kail 16 pieces = 29.47 Cft and Deodar 23 pieces = 48.58 Cft of different sizes. A case was registered under section 6/39 Forest Act against the culprits and investigation is in progress.
