BHADARWAH: An awareness programme was organised at Gandoh by JK Forest Department Range Bhallesa in collaboration with Educational Environmental Social Sports and Cultural Society Bhalessa Doda in which residents of the area participated.
The programme was presided over by Din Mohd Afaqi, Tehsidar Gandoh whereas SDPO Gandoh Bushan Kumar Ganju and Mohd Ayoub Zarger Chairman of the Society were Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
The speakers stressed on conservation of forests and judicious use of natural resources. In his presidential address Tehsidar Gandoh appreciated the initiative of society and Forest Department for creating such awareness initiative in rural area which will sensitise the villagers and the inhabitants around the forest to take care for this green gold and inform the department about illegal felling of trees if any.
