FORCE members express confidence in Presidentship of Harbans Singh

JAMMU: A meeting of more than thirty members of Forum of Recognised Colleges of Education (FORCE) was held on Wednesday in the meeting hall of Amar Singh Club Jammu, under the chairmanship of Harbans Singh, President FORCE to discuss the functioning of the colleges of Education, affiliated to the University of Jammu, located in Jammu Province.
The members discussed in depth the issues and problems faced by the Colleges of Education, especially after the reorganisation of J&K state into a UT and the applicability of NCTE rules in J&K UT.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting include Raj Daluja, Chairman, J.K Educational Society; Kamal Gupta, a Senior Educationist; R.S Chib, Kanta Andotra, Arvind Mahajan, Rajesh Sharma, K K Tiwari, KK Sharma, Dr Brij Kohli, Kamal Gupta, Pankaj Dogra, Ashok Khajuria, Qazi Sayeed Beig, Gurpal Singh, KK Bakshi, Manmeet Singh, Capt RK Sharma, Ramesh Chander, RL Sharma, Advocate P.D Sharma, Arun Kumar Sharma, Pardeep Singh, Aman Kalra and M Tariq.
Chairpersons of the JK College, Bhartiya College, Surya College, Ranjit College, Rajiv Gandhi College, MC Khalsa, Sher-e-Kashmir College, Kalra College, SVS, Kalra Kud College, New Age College, Bhim Singh College, Tariq College, Guru Gang Dev College, Poonch College, Cosmic College, R S College, R B College, Lal Bahudhar Shastri College, Sacred Heart College, Doda College, Chenab College, New Millennium College, Ashoka College, Bhargava College, K C Gurukul College, Ranjit College of Education, Galaxy College, Vimal Muni College were also present.
The members also took exception to the news article appearing in press, in which some misguided members of FORCE, have tried to form a separate body. All participating members have described their action, as an act of indiscipline and an effort to destabilize FORCE, and hence was condemned by them unanimously.
The members in the meeting said that this decision have been taken by them in isolation without consulting the senior leadership of FORCE and which amounted to damaging the prestige and image of FORCE.
A resolution to this effect was passed unanimously in favour of Harbans Singh in which he was requested by all the members to continue as the President of FORCE.
All the members expressed their confidence in the presidentship of Harbans Singh and authorized him to reconstitute the executive body of FORCE, and also warned those elements who are trying to tarnish the image of FORCE.
Harbans Singh was requested by all the signatories of the resolution to forward a copy of this decision to the NCTE, Department of Higher Education J&K, UT; and Jammu University for their kind information.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Pankaj Dogra, Chairman, Surya College of Education, Kathua; and the proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Ashok Khajuria, Director, Bhartiya College of Education, Udhampur; and Manmeet Singh, Chairman, Ranjit College of Education, Jammu.
