JAMMU: One week training programme to train a group of 25 Scheduled Tribe (ST) women in food processing started here today at Jagti of Block Dansal.
The training programmed has been organised by the Department of Horticulture, Jammu under SCA to TSP scheme (CSS).
The training to the women is being imparted as a part of the targeted batch of 100 women to be trained in fruit and vegetable processing under the scheme during current financial year.
On this occasion Assistant Director, Shafiqa Khalid, District Level SMS Sanjeev Kumar, Sarpanch, Panchs and In-charge Horticulture Development Officer, Dansal, Angrez Singh, and Horticulture Development Officer, Jammu Deeraj Bailam were present.
In her address the AD gave a brief of activities of the Department under different schemes during 2014-15.
