Focus on quality education, introduction of job-oriented courses: Arora

JAMMU: MLC Ramesh Arora on Tuesday visited the University of Jammu and had a brief interaction about various academic initiatives taken by the University.
Prof. R.D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu and Arora had long discussions on various issues related to the University and its off-site campuses. They also discussed several important ongoing major projects and areas which needed attention for strengthening research and developmental work in this institution of higher learning.
Arora requested the Vice Chancellor to focus on imparting quality education and introduction of job-oriented courses for the benefit of the students so as to prepare them to face the challenges of the competitive world.
Arora suggested to draw innovative academic action plans in order to make University at par with the top-ranking institutions of the country and also stressed on institutional collaborations with other higher educational institutions within and outside the country for promoting research and developmental activities.
The MLC also assured of all the possible support and cooperation in steering this institution of higher learning to the heights of excellence.
