JAMMU: The 77th birth anniversary of late Yasho Rajya Lakshmi, wife of Dr Karan Singh, Chairman Trustee, J and K Dharmarth Trust and mother of trustees Vikramaditya Singh and MK Ajatshatru Singh, was observed at Ranvireshwar Ji Temple Complex at Shalamar, here today.
Vikramaditya Singh, Major General (retd.) R.S Jamwal President Dharmarth Trust, Shashi Khajuria, Secretary and other staff members and officials of the Trust participated in the function and paid floral tributes to Yasho Rajya Lakshmi.
A Hawan and Puja were performed in the memory of Yasho Rajya Lakshmi in which large number of devotees participated. Her portrait was garlanded and the participants paid floral tributes.
Vikramaditya recalled her role as a mother and a great social worker and said that she had dedicated herself to the cause of the society in general and women folk in particular.
He said that she took active part in social activities throughout her life.
Blankets and clothes were also distributed among the poor and needy people at Yasho-Karan Park Temple Complex.
