JAMMU: J and K Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) held a function to celebrate the 120th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, at Netaji Park Town Hall, Jammu.
The function was organised by JKFFA President Ved Gandotra. Joint Commissioner Municipality Jammu R.S Jamwal was the Chief Guest on the occasion. National Flag was hoisted followed by singing of National Anthem and floral tributes were paid to the great Martyr by garlanding his statue. The speakers threw light on the life history of Netaji. They said that Subhas Chandra Bose was born a patriot who struggled throughout his life for the freedom of the motherland. They added that in young age Bose left home and visited every corner of the world to garner support to his freedom struggle. They further said that Neta Ji framed a full-fledged army of the Indian youth under the name of Indian National Army to fight the British forces.
Among others who participated were Rajiv Mahajan (State President, Shri Ram Sena), Parvinder Kumar (Baba), S. Rajinder Singh, S. Gajan Singh Akali, Binny Mahajan, Narayan, Hari Singh, Bansi Lal and Ram Rattan Raina.
Meanwhile, BJP Freedom Fighters and Martyrs Cell paid floral tributes to Subash Chander Bose and recalled his contribution towards nation at a function held at Party Headquarters here.
The function was organized by BJP Freedom Fighters and Martyrs Cell State Convenor Bharat Bhushan Sharma. BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma CA, District, President Jammu West Ayodhya Gupta, District, President Jammu Baldev Singh Ballowria spoke on the life of Subash Chander Bose and described him as a great revolutionary.
Ayodhya Gupta, Baldev Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Mohan Singh Rana, Jeet Angral, Karan Sharma, Surinder Bhagat, Ramesh Sharma, Prem Gupta, Puneet Mahajan, Dr Akash Sharma, Sanjiv Sharma, Rajinder Verma, Sandeep Chib, Naresh Kumar, Ram Parsad, Ramesh Gupta, Puran Chand and Raj Kumar also paid their tributes.
