RS PURA : The farmers of Sub District RS Pura held a protest in front of Tehsil office against non-payment of compensation for the loss they suffered recently due to incessant rains, wind storm and flash floods.
The protesters led by PDP leader Bhushan Dogra said that no cognizance of the loss of their paddy crop was taken inspite of their repeated visits to the office of Tehsildar R.S Pura. The protesters said that after floods, the unprovoked Pakistani firing forced them to leave their hearths adding more pain to already suffering population.
The protesters appealed to the Government that they should be given suitable compensation for the losses they incurred on account of floods.
