Five years rigorous imprisonment in rape bid case

JAMMU: Principal Sessions Judge Kathua Vinod Kumar Chatterji Koul, on Tuesday, awarded five years rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs 10,000 to Ravinder Paul, son of Ram Paul, resident of Channi, Tehsil Hiranagar, District Kathua in attempt to rape case.
According to the police case that the report was filed by the aunt of the prosecutrix on 6th December, 2012, 3:30 PM, when she came home, she found accused Ravinder Paul coming out of the gate. When she went inside the house, she found that prosecutrix was frightened and was weeping. On her inquiry, she disclosed that accused entered their house about half an hour before and on finding her alone, entered inside the room, and committed the crime.
On the said report, police registered FIR No. 240/2012 of Police Station, Rajbagh, Kathua, for offence punishable under Section 376 RPC and started investigation and after completion of investigation Challan was presented. JNF
