JAMMU: Five persons died and three others got injured in different road mishaps here on Tuesday.
As per details, an over-speeding car hit a bike, with two persons on board, from behind near Rehari Chungi, due to which a person was killed on the spot while other got seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Himmat Bahadur, resident of Paloura while the injured has disclosed his identity as Pritam, resident of Gharota Jammu.
In another mishap, an unknown vehicle hit a bike in border area of R S Pura near Police Post Baspur, due to which two persons, identified as Sukhdev Singh, son of Charan Singh and Sohan Lal, son of Chuni Lal were killed on the spot. Another person, identified as Shanty, son of Darshan Singh got injured in the accident and was taken to nearest hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, two bikes collided head-on in village Palli of Tehsil Bishnah, due to two persons were killed and one was injured. The deceased have been identified as Nikhal Singh, son of Kulbir Singh and Dharminder Kumar, son of Kala Ram while the injured, Pardeep Kumar, son of Baj Singh is undergoing treatment.
