JAMMU: As customary, CBSE schools of Jammu region are conducting the First Pre-Board exams for their students in the first fortnight of December, 2022.
After 2 years of havoc caused by COVID -19, now students are writing their 3 hour exams second time in this session. It’s truly said, “when going gets tough, then tough gets going”. Now adjusting their oars, students have set their sail under the guidance of their teachers and parents.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore appreciated students for taking their Pre-Board exams in the right perspective. He stated, “Adversities introduce a man to himself. Online exams caused laxity in children. Keeping themselves away from the inspiring presence of teachers, students lost their acquired skills pertaining to hand writing, writing skills, computation skills, scientific skills, artistic skills etc”.
“Pressure of performance in the first Pre-Board exams makes students gear up and tighten their belts. They started rising earlier than their routine wake up. Morning alarm bell from the neighbourhood households has now become a routine affair. Parents stopped chasing their wards for the revision work in the core subjects. Even Sundays and other holidays are witnessing longer sittings of children during different time slots”, Principal shared with a broad smile on his face.
Reflecting on the scenario prevailing around before Pre-Board exams, Shashi Rattan Vice Principal JKPS Kunjwani shared, “Students in Sr. Secondary classes are on toes & approaching teachers for doubt-clearing sessions in variety subjects. Parents are calling up to share their joy on the changed routine of their wards regarding studies”.
Associate Vice Principal Roopinder Kour appreciated students for showing a great deal of sincerity and requesting teachers to provide extra worksheets related to their subjects. “They are also submitting the attempted sample papers for improving their performance in the Board exams. Though the checking of solved sample papers is time-consuming for teachers, yet they are happy to see the sense of initiative and dedication in their students”, she further added.
School Coordinator Inderjeet Kour lauded the endeavours of teachers and students for the Pre-Board exams. She said, “Students of Secondary & Sr. Secondary classes have been showing tremendous improvement right from the declaration of Mid-Term exams results. Since students have promised their teachers and parents to show a qualitative improvement in their performance, so they are giving their heart and soul to their endeavours”.
Director JK Educational Society Shashi Choudhary applauded the dedicated efforts of teachers for bringing laurels to the school all these years & helped creating the requisite ambience for academics in the school. She expressed her satisfaction over the consistent efforts being made by students under the patronage of their teachers. She wished them good luck for a commendable performance in the First Pre-Board exams, scheduled at JKPS Kunjwani from 9th December, 2022.
