JAMMU: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Nowshera and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Ravinder Raina on Saturday inaugurated the first Mufti Mohd Sayeed Memorial State Wrestling Competition being organised by the Bhartiya Viyamshala in collaboration with J and K State Sports Council at Mini Stadium Parade Ground, here.
Wrestlers from districts Reasi, Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Ganderbal, Srinagar and Anantnag besides Jammu Rural and Deewana Mandir Akhara are taking part in the competition.
Satinder Singh Sathi was the Guest of Honour during opening ceremony .
Speaking on the occasion, Raina emphasised the budding and talented wrestlers to work hard with more dedication to bring laurels to the State and the country.

First round: 42 kg: Ankit Basotra (Jammu) beat Vicky Sharma (Jammu Rural). 46 kg: Abhishek Singh (Samba) defeated Satish Kumar (Jammu Rural). 50 kg: Ankush Saini (Jammu Rural) beat Sunny Malhotra (Jammu city); Sourav Sahni (Jammu Rural) trounced Fazam Ahmed Bawa (Anantnag); Jurnail Singh (Jammu Rural) blanked Mohd. Iqbal (Anantnag); Shakti Saini (Jammu Rural) defeated Adil Sazid (Anantnag). 55 kg: Aman Dogra (Jammu city) beat Ch. Mushtaq (Raj Bagh); Rakesh Kumar (Jammu city) defeated Rattan Singh (Reasi); Rahul Sahni (Jammu Rural) trounced Tushar (Jammu city); Bagh Hussain (Kathua) downed Rakshit Sharma (Jammu Rural). 60 kg: Anil Kumar (Samba) beat Forman Din (Raj Bagh); Karan Singh (Jammu city) defeated Mohd. Kamran (Gandarbal); Bagh Husain (Kathua) trounced Sultan Ahmed (Raj Bagh); Subash Singh (Reasi) defeated Sultan (Raj Bagh). 74 kg: Waqar Younis (Kathua) beat Puneet Jamwal (Jammu city); Latif (Raj Bagh) defeated Gulshan Singh (Jammu Rural); Sahil Sharma (Reasi) trounced Harish Kumar (Jammu city); Farooq (Raj Bagh) beat Nisar Samim Qadri (Srinagar).
Second round
55 kg: Habib ( Raj Bagh) beat Sohail Manjoor (Anantnag); Manjit Singh (Jammu Rural) defeated Sohan Singh (Reasi); Rakesh Kumar (Jammu city) trounced Amar Dogra (Jammu city); Bagh Hussain Kathua blanked Rahul Saini (Jammu Rural).
