First-aid training held for commercial vehicle drivers

JAMMU: Four-day first-aid training programme for the commercial vehicle drivers/ conductors organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region under the aegis of St. John Ambulance (India) Regional Centre, Jammu concluded here at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni.
53 participants took part in the training which concluded today. The training was imparted to save the precious lives during untoward accidents. The training was imparted by the senior consultants on the subject namely Dr. Rajinder Thappa, CMO, GMCH, Jammu, Dr. Munish Sr. Orthopaedic Surgeon, Max Hospital, Amritsar, Dr. M.L Sharma, Ex- DMO and Dr. Simriti, Medical Officer of Red Cross Dispensary whereas the exam of the candidates was conducted by Dr. Kavita Nijohn, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary assisted by Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist. The event was conducted under the supervision of R.C Puri, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region, Jammu.
