Financial Literacy Camp organised at Panchayat Sarora-Marh

JAMMU: A “Financial Literacy Camp” was on Thursday organised by the Chief Accounts Officer, District Fund Office, Jammu in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Bank and with the assistance of Sarpanch Panchayat Sarora in Block Marh. Vinod Sharma, Compiler described about the latest GP Fund Rules and Circular about G.P Withdrawal, State Life Insurance (SLI) which is mandatory for every Government Employee and Deposit Linked Insurance (DLI) for those who have not submitted the DLI.
The Jammu and Kashmir Bank, representatives from Social Welfare, Aadhaar Center and CDPO/ICDS were also invited to enlighten the General Public about their well-being. Rahul Dev, Assistant Manager, J&K Bank, Tehsil Marh apprised the participants about different schemes of the Bank. In response, many individuals, present in the camp, raised different queries regarding the schemes and the officer resolved/cleared them on the spot.
Pir Mubashir, Operation Manager, Aadhar Centre also interacted with the folks of Sarora. He briefed the public of Sarora about how Aadhaar is linked with the numerous Government schemes and their benefits to the General Public.
Sonia Sharma, Supervisor, Social Welfare briefed the people about the schemes and scholarships of the Department at National, UT, District etc. levels.
Dalvinder Singh from Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) educated the public about the schemes of the department.Furthermore, he responded to the various queries about the area.
Pankaj Sharma, Panchayat Accounts Assistant shared his experience working as PAA to manage/implement the various financial implications in the Panchayat.
Later, Reena, Chief Accounts Officer, concluded the camp with the annotations on the importance of the G.P. Fund, Tax Rebate, Financial Implications, Planning, Retirement Benefits as well as Benefits of New Pension Scheme (NPS).
