BUDGAM: To ensure smooth, free and fair elections in all the five Assembly constituencies of district Budgam, District Election Officer, Budgam on Sunday held final check of EVMs in presence of Bell Engineers, concerned Observers and representatives of political parties.
Nodal Officers for Election (ADC), ROs and AROs of respective constituencies were also present on the occasion.
As many as 664 EVMs were checked including 117 EVMs which are kept reserved.
DEO stressed upon the concerned to adhere strictly according to the Model Code of Conduct issued by the Election Commission of India.
Later, the DEO along with the Observers visited the strong rooms to ensure the safety of the EVMs.
