STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Reverting back to the never ending travesty, showing our resentment and to draw the attention of Governor N.N Vohra, the unemployed Kashmiri migrant youth under the aegis of YAIKS led by its President R.K Bhat on Monday started an indefinite protest (day and night) at Raj Bhawan, here.
The protestors, while highlighting the demands, appealed to Governor to intervene for immediate filling up of the remaining 4,000 posts out of sanctioned 6,000 jobs under PM’s special employment package for Kashmiri migrants including the selection of pending teachers and 221 writ petitioners.
“The Division Bench of Jammu and Kashmir has given directions of the respondents (Govt.) to accommodate the appellants within two months but the Court order is still pending for its implementation due to negligence and bias approach of State Government towards KP Community,” Bhat alleged.
Bhat further said that government has failed to implement the High Court judgment within stipulated time bound period of two months.
He further said that these 221 candidates are the genuine and deserving and it is last chance for them for the government jobs as they are at the verge of getting over aged.
He said YAIKS is committed for this demand and will not take rest till it reaches to its logical conclusion.
Among others who addressed the protestors included Ajay Safaya, Sunil Dhar, Ajay Koul, Amit Raina, Sunil Bhat, Ajay Raina, Manoi, Princy Kumari and Advisors D.N Bhat and Shuban.
