Fight for AIIMS, lake to continue: Harsh

KHOUR: Launching a scathing attack on BJP for compromising on many core issues, Chairman JKNPP and former Minister, Harsh Dev Singh stressed that fight for AIIMS and artificial lake over Tawi for Jammu will to continue.
Addressing party workers at Khour, Harsh said that the issues of Recruitment Policy, State Subject for West Pak Refugees, voting rights to them in Assembly and Local Bodies Polls, Government jobs for such WPRs, issuance of Dogra Certificate to Jammu youth, State Subject for children of daughters of J and K married outside, empowerment of Jammu, abolition of custodian Department and conferment of ownership rights to its occupants, gainful employment for educated unemployment youth, etc only pertained to the human rights violation of the people of Jammu region which were incorporated in the Saffron party’s elections manifesto before ascending to power.
Harsh on behalf of JKNPP extended full support to the Bandh call announced by the ‘AIIMS Coordination Committee’ on 27th May 2015 and exhorted the people, businessmen, traders, youth, intellectuals and students to make it successful for the cause of Jammu.
He, however, regretted that the BJP’s pre-poll promises turned into mere hyperboles thus inflicting of blow to all the hopes and aspirations of the Jammu people.
He appealed to the people of Khour to join and strengthen the Panthers Party in the crusade against all kinds of discrimination meted out to the people of Jammu region.
Regretting the non-release of the meager wages ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 4,500 per month to the daily rated, casual, CP, consolidated contractual, need based and contingent workers in various departments for the last several months, Yashpal Kundal lambasted the State Government for divesting them of their wages and pushing them towards starvation. He further called for regularisation of all daily rated contingent and other need based works who had completed seven years service in consonance with the tall proclamations by the BJP and PDP ahead of Assembly Elections.
Meanwhile, Bayers Group of Companies organised a farmers’ awareness camp at Khour in which Harsh Dev Singh was the Chief Guest.
The agro experts made the farmers aware about the pests and insects responsible for mass decaying on the crops besides taking the precautionary measures to save them from infestation by spraying right and appropriate pesticides and fertilizers.
They also distributed free hybrid seeds to the several farmers for producing good quality crops.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Ashok Kumar, Harbans Lal Sharma, Ram Singh Sarpanch, Pardeep Singh, Nirmal Kishore and Asha Rani.
