Female multi-purpose workers met Sham Lal

JAMMU: A delegation of female multi-purpose workers led by senior trade union leader Sushil Sudan met the former Health Minister and Senior Vice President J and K PCC, Sham Lal Sharma on Thursday at his residence and apprised him of the hardships faced by them for non-payment of their salary.
They apprised Sham Lal Sharma that they have been demanding release of their wages for the past several months and despite assurances nothing has been done in the matter.
They said that families of most of these workers are dependent on their salaries and in absence of salaries they are facing hardships.
Sham Lal urged the government to immediately release their pending salary and address their grievances keeping in view the great hardships faced by their families, especially in the wake of high inflation rates, leading to escalation of prices of essential commodities in many folds.
