FCI employees threaten indefinite strike from June 29

JAMMU: The employees of Food Corporation of India threatened to go on indefinite strike if their demands will not consider up to 29th June.
The staff posted at FSD/DO/RO under the banner of Bhartiya Khadya Nigam Karamchari Sangh assembled in front of Regional Office staged protest here on Monday and raised slogans against the callous attitude of FCI Management.
The leaders expressed grave concern and anguish towards the inordinate delay at the level of FCI Management as well as Ministry of Food (Government of India) for not implementing the already agreed demands of Cafeteria Fringe benefits, Pension-PRMS, harassment of field staff on account of SL/TL recoveries, Department Examination for promotions, compassionate appointment, shortage of staff etc.
The leaders resolved that in case their demands are not settled immediately the employees would adopt the agitational path with full strength and will also go on indefinite strike from 29th June, 2016.
