Father, two sons arrested after viral video shows assault on school bus driver

Jammu: A day after a video showing a school bus driver being assaulted went viral on social media, Jammu (Rural) Police moved swiftly to arrest all three accused involved in the incident. The assault took place within the jurisdiction of Police Post Sidhra and drew widespread concern online, prompting authorities to act immediately.
According to officials, the viral clip showed a group of individuals beating the bus driver, following which the matter was formally reported at PP Sidhra. Taking serious note of the attack, police registered FIR No. 242/25 under Sections 126(2), 115(2), and 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Nagrota.
A police team led by PSI Neeraj Parihar, in charge of PP Sidhra, launched an investigation and quickly identified the suspects. The accused were identified as Sachin Kumar, his father Sohan Lal, and Vishal Verma, all residents of Kana Chargal. They were arrested soon after being traced.
Police said the timely response and coordinated efforts of the investigation team ensured the swift detention of all three men involved in the assault. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
