Father-sons, servants among 7 arrested for serving liquor in shop

REASI: Father and his two sons and two servants among seven persons were arrested by police who were found indulged in serving liquor to consumers in a sweet shop at Reasi Bus Stand.
According to a report, acting on a specific input, a police team headed by Inspector Dalip Singh, SHO Police Station Reasi during patrolling duty at Main Bazaar Reasi conducted a raid in the sweet shop of one Sham Lal son of Chhajju Ram (owner of the shop) where Sourav Gupta and Sahil Gupta sons of Sham Lal resident of Ward No. 4 Reasi including servants namely Kaku Ram son of Suram Singh resident of Talwara, Rakesh Singh son of Karan Chand resident of Chaan Kanthi were indulging in serving of liquor whisky etc. to the customers in sweet shop illegally.
The customers were identified as Angrez Singh son of Munshi Ram resident of Charalakote and Shokat Ali son of Din Mohd resident of Mari Reasi. During the search some used whisky quarters, bottles of cold drinks etc. were recovered on spot.
All the accused persons were arrested and recovered items have been seized.
A case vide FIR No.69/2016 under section 50/50-A Excise Act was registered at Police Station Reasi.
