POONCH: Department of Agriculture Poonch organised a farmer training camp under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) at village Chakrara Block Mandi Poonch on Friday with active participation of Mohd Shafi Sarpanch Saloonia, Mohd Arshad Naib Sarpanch Chakrara and farmers from village Saklu, Saloonia, Chakrara and Bandikama Khan.
During the training programme the farmers were made aware about the existing Centrally Sponsored Scheme such as NFSM, RKVY, BADP and ATMA. The farmer were made aware about the subsidy available on different forms of machinery under different schemes. A large number of stalls of farm machinery were also laid in the training programme by private companies in which different farm machineries were displayed such as maize cob sheller irrigation, pump set diesel-plough, spray pumps, storage bins and other small implements of agricultural use.
The camp was organised under the direction of Chief Agriculture Officer Poonch M.Y Choudhary and attended by B.K Chandan SDAO Poonch and S. Davinder Singh Agriculture Extension Officer Mandi.
Other participants include S. Charan Jeet AAI Poonch Davinder Sharma, Mohd Rashid, Annis Soil, Vishal Gupta, Sukhbir Singh Randhir Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Dharminder Singh, Iqbal Singh, Sartaj Singh, Harish Rena, Tanveer Ahmed and Sanjeev Sharma.
