Facilities extended to Amarnath Yatris inadequate: Shiv Sena
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Shiv Sena ( Bala Ji Sahib Thackery) State Chief Dimpy Kohli on Monday said that facilities being offered to Amarnath Yatris by the Government are far from satisfactory and due to this reason many of the Yatris from outside the State have returned back without performing the pilgrimage.
He was speaking during his visit to ongoing two months Vishal Bhandara here at Parade- Shalamar Road organised by Trinetradhari Shiv Shambhu Seva Dal Parade. He was accompanied by other office bearers of party’s State Unit.
Dimpy was accorded warm welcome by President Trinetradhari Shiv Shambhu Seva Dal Parade Mandeep Sharma. Dimpy praised the efforts made by Trinetradhari Shiv Shambhu Seva Dal for organising this Bhandara for Amaranth Yatris. He said that this is the tradition of the Dogras to greet their guests and to see God in them. He extended party’s wholehearted support in the endeavour to facilitate Amarnath Yatris.
He said that this is a matter of great concern that the Amarnath Yatra remained suspended for the third consecutive day due to security concerns. He however urged the District Administration to extend adequate facilities to the Yatris including hygienic food, potable water and comfortable lodging besides foolproof security. Surinder Bhagat, Vijay Baru, Ravi, Raju, Sanju, Neeraj Sharma, Puri, Mahant Bitta were also
present.
