JAMMU: Ever since Kashmir was hit by another round of endless ‘cycle of violence,’ triggered in the aftermath of killing of HM terrorist Burhan Wani, three buzz words ‘Kashmiriyat, Insaniyat and Jamhooriyat’ surfaced once again in the political discourse and an attempt is being made to broker a peace deal within the ambit of the Indian Constitution.
Despite endless announcements and open invitations to people belonging to all shades of opinion, the political bosses in New Delhi failed to break the impasse.
And on Thursday, while Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was addressing media conference along with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, she herself tasted different brand of Kashmiriyat”.
During the course of media conference, when a senior reporter asked her a straight question about the ongoing unrest in the Valley and also made an observation that she and Omar had only changed places it seems, Mehbooba Mufti started explaining her point of view and made a pointed reference claiming, “This is wrong analysis. In 2010, there was a fake encounter in Machil where three civilians were killed. After that there were rape and murder allegations in Shopian…”
When other reporters also tried to corner her with their supplementary questions and clarification, she shouted back “let me complete first and continued “this time an encounter took place in which three militants were killed, how is government responsible for that.
“People came on streets, we imposed curfew. Did the children go to army camps to buy toffees (candy)? Was the 15-year-old boy, who attacked the police station at Damhal Hanjipora (in south Kashmir), going there to get milk. Don’t compare both the things. People had genuine anger that time (2010),” she said. Soon after, she was virtually targeted by motivated media persons and later common masses on the social networking sites went on to thrash her.
Taking undue advantage of ‘jamhooriyat’ even insaniyat was put to shame by these netizens.
Mehbooba Mufti herself may not have found time from her busy schedule to read comments but anyone familiar with the active ‘hot spots’ and closed groups on these social networking sites can easily scan the hatred directed at her, holding her responsible for the volatile situation.
An active member on the famous social networking site, Mohd Afaaq Syed wrote,” Didda was the Ruler of Kashmir from 958 AD to 1002 AD. She had a defective leg. Was brutal and cunning. She had a lover named Tunga, who went on to become her Prime Minister.
Didda killed her grandsons to whom she acted as Regent in her lust for absolute power. She decimated every voice of opposition. She killed and maimed her opponents along with their families. Her rule is considered to be the most ruthless and brutal.
Didda took a rebith. She is back. She is back.
But the question is: Who is Tunga?
Shahnawaz Taing commented, “She has brain of which only 5% is functional”
Munaza Gulzar chipped in with another nasty comment, “Wallah she displayed so much arrogance of limited knowledge and her maths has failed her don’t know who told her about 5% ”
Ishfaq Ahmad wrote, ” Shameless scum of an alcoholic rogue” ..
Rameez Makhdoomi commented, “Soon in Market -“Hitler Tea” manufactured by PDP”.
