Expose, sack BJP ministers involved in corruption: Congress
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) President, Pranav Shagotra on Wednesday said that duplicity of the self-proclaimed honest BJP leaders has been exposed after alleged involvement of some party ministers in shifting old currency notes and taking huge commission in exchange of granting permission for illegal construction has surfaced in the media.
PYC President regretted that instead of providing good governance to the people, BJP ministers and their family members are allegedly involved in rampant corruption and mal-practices.
Addressing a massive protest of Youth Congress workers against BJP ministers for their involvement in corrupt practices, Pranav said that so-called honesty of the BJP ministers have been exposed in a short span after formation of the Coalition Government.
He said that while the common people are facing hardship due to demonetization move of the Centre, BJP ministers in Jammu and Kashmir are worried about the huge money of demonetized currency, which they have accumulated through illegal means and misdeeds.
Shouting slogans against BJP ministers for legalizing corruption, he said that since formation of the Coalition Government BJP ministers and their family members have been shamelessly indulged into corrupt practices to amass huge wealth.
Shagotra regretted that legalizing corruption and establishing transfer industry is only noticeable achievements of BJP ministers.
Pointing toward incidents of involvement of BJP one minister in shifting of the demonetized currency note in crores and influencing the police to not to seize the cash and allegedly taking Rs 13 crore bribe in giving permission to construct flats by another minister, he demanded that government should public the names of these BJP ministers. He asked the government to come clear how permission was granted to construct flats despite objection by some quarters. Ridiculing BJP Central leadership for claiming to make India corruption free, he said, “Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is claiming to provide a corruption-free government, but on ground their BJP own ministers are involved in corruption-related cases”. He said that Youth Congress would force the government to expose names of such ministers and take action against them. Youth Congress workers held protest after media reports that the police intercepted an official vehicle of a BJP minister in which old currency of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes worth crores was being shifted to unknown place, but didn’t seize the vehicle. The cash was allegedly being carried in a vehicle and was escorted by security personnel and after the vehicle was intercepted by the police, it didn’t act allegedly under the influence of the minister.
