PM Modi receives warm
welcome from Indians

Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Berlin on Monday, May 2, as a part of his three-nation European tour. He is scheduled to visit Denmark and then France. The focus of the visit is to boost ties in the areas of trade, energy and green technology.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was extended a warm welcome by a jubilant Indian diaspora in Berlin. Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared photos of the welcome extended to him. He tweeted, “It was early morning in Berlin yet several people from the Indian community came by. It was wonderful connecting with them. India is proud of the accomplishments of our diaspora.”

When asked how they feel about Prime Minister’s tour, one Anand Deshpandey said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit is like a dream come true for us in Germany. We see how Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing development in India and feel proud that our country is not behind any European country. He added that he felt lucky to see Prime Minister in person closely.

Another, Monali Rahevar said that they are excited about Prime Minister’s arrival in Germany. We want that India should further bilateral ties with Germany so that our country emerges as a manufacturing hub. One Prachi said, “I would thank Prime Minister for all his contributions towards overall development of India. Sir, Thank you for showing us the possibility of a developed India, for making us believe that India can become non-corrupt, clean, efficient and fastest developing economy.”

Pooja Hegde said they were so excited to have such a close encounter with Prime Minister that they reached at 4 o’clock in the morning to meet the Prime Minister. 
He has done so much for our country in last eight years and we are very excited to meet him in person here, she added.
