Excitement, jubilation mark celebration of Children’s Day at JKPS Panjtirthi

JAMMU: The Children’s Day’ was celebrated at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi with enthusiam.
Commemorating the birth of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and dedicating the day to all the children, the programme commenced with an oration by Sindu Kohli and Suman Bala.
Jakiians exhibited beautiful banners and spoke inspiring slogans about the importance of the day to boost the morale of the students.
The children were reminded that it is a privilege to be a kid, and childhood is the best time of one’s life. Jakiians spoke about how much they missed getting back to school. They enjoyed the passionate, powerful, colourful and lovable programme of greetings, dance and songs put up by their teachers. Further, tapping to the rhythm of Panjabi melody, the teachers regaled the students with a scintillating dance performance.
The hilarious act by the teachers left the children in bouts of laughter. Retail sale officers from Tanishq, the famous Indian jewellery brand also visited JKPS Panjtirthi to celebrate the Children’s Day and to felicitate the best students of the year. They distributed attractive gifts among the winners of general knowledge quiz competition.
Children’s Day is the perfect occasion to make them understand that the best gift for them on the occasion is to brush up their general knowledge which will automatically boost their morale and confidence to win the battle of life.
With the same motive, an interesting general knowledge Mass quiz for all the students of classes 1st to 10th was organised. The Principal decided to be the quiz master herself.
The quiz comprised of seven mind boggling rounds under the heading like science and technology, art and culture, Indian scholars, constitution, animal kingdom, global warming, books and authors, mythology, Sports etc.
Children were timely informed and instructed to explore Google for preparing general knowledge questions under the said categories. All the rounds were keenly contested.
Jakiians displayed intellectual skills and posed a stiff competition for their rivals. It was heart-warming to see the children brimming with enthusiasm and exuberance as they vied with each other to answer questions that required deep knowledge.
Audience enjoyed the quiz thoroughly and found it a very informative and knowledge enriching experience.
The Prize distribution was arranged in a grand way where the Principal tried to get maximum winners to encourage them with various gifts , cash prizes and momentos .
Jakiians from each class under the category of all rounder and physically fit were felicitated with trophies by the Principal.
She further encouraged the students to stay updated by reading the newspapers and Gk books.
The Principal Suman Banbah beamed with joy motivated the jakiians to bloom and spread fragrance of joy, care, concern and love all around.
