JAMMU: The students of Government Degree College Kunjwani were enlightened on Friday by the Mayor of Jammu city on damages caused by the corruption to our nation.
Mayor, Rajinder Sharma with his revolutionary slogan ‘Imandar Jammu, Shandar Jammu’, was addressing the students while continuing his ongoing ‘Jan Jagaran Abhiyan’- the unprecedented anti-corruption campaign started few days back.
The Mayor administered an oath to the students wherein they pledged to stop political corruption, shun the caste based voting habit and to vote an upright and educated candidate well versed in administrative affairs.
Sharma said that PM Modi while addressing the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort had said that corruption needs to be curbed at any cost.
“If even about 200 educated people may understand the motive of this campaign they will further educate another set of such persons and this will continued till all get aware to choose a right candidate as public representative,” he maintained adding that this success will naturally usher a new era of corruption free system in the country.
The Mayor said that this way we will have honest and well versed elected public representatives from a Municipal Councillor to an MP to have the dream of PM Modi for honest India fulfilled. Excited over the full fledged support from the youth from across the educational institutions of Jammu, Sharma said that the younger generation participating in the ‘Jan Jagaran Abhiyan’ is very encouraging and a good sign for the society.
“This will surely materialize the dream of PM Modi for restoring the fame of Vishav Guru to our nation within no time,” he continued.
