SAMBA: A team of Legal Metrology Department headed by Anita Sharma Assistant Controller conducted extensive checking of various commercial establishments at Samba, Vijaypur, Swanka, Ramgarh and Bari Brahmana on Monday. The team inspected and booked two ice-cream manufacturing units, four book sellers, hardware shops, fruit/vegetable shops, steel and Iron units, electric goods showrooms, sweet shops, provision stores etc. A total of 35 traders were booked by the Inspector Narinder Kumar for violation of various provisions of Weight and Measures Laws. In all 33 cases were compounded on spot by the team and a composition of Rs. 36, 600 was realised.
