Ex-CPFWA cancels meeting with IG Jammu

JAMMU: The Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association (Ex-CPFWA) on Sunday urged the Inspector General (IG) Jammu to hold a meeting only in the afternoon with providing transport facility. While addressing a meeting here, press conference, Shashi Sharma, president of the association said that IG Jammu called them for meeting at 10:30 AM but to long distance from Border areas and due to chilly weather in the morning many paramilitary personnel are unable to attend the meeting so they decided to canceled the meeting with IG Jammu.
He said many paramilitary personnel are residing in the far flung border areas from where no transport facility is in the morning time and with any transport they will not be able to attend the meeting.
He urged IG Jammu to call on meeting with paramilitary personnel in the afternoon on any day and provide a transport facility to them from the areas to reach them at the meeting venue in time .
Others present at the meeting included Darshan Chouhan General Secretary, Gurdyal Singh District President Jammu, Khushil Singh Joint Secretary, Harbans Lal Sharma and Janak Raj.
