Evict all encroachments from state land: DC Poonch
Jammu:- Poonch district administration has directed the revenue officials to immediately evict the encroachers from the land under illegal occupation and protect the state land from encroachment.
“To protect the state land from encroachment, we have directed for eviction of encroachers from forest and other state land. We have also instructed the tehsildars to furnish the progress on eviction from state land for the last three years,” Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, M H Malik said.
He said that he has directed the officials to ensure that there was no conversion of agricultural land for commercial purposes.
Malik also asked them to expedite the process of land acquisition so that no developmental project was held up in the district, and instructed all the executive magistrates to proactively intervene and stop illegal mining in their area of their jurisdiction.
The Deputy Commissioner also stressed for implementation of the Ribbon development act and directed the concerned officers to check unauthorised construction on roadsides.
The DC has also directed all the officials concerned to ensure timely crop inspection and proper maintenance of land record.
