JAMMU: Judicial Magistrate Preet Simran Kour on Monday convicted one Rakesh Kumar alias Babbi, resident of Sunder Nagar, Pathankot under Section 294 RPC under FIR No 68/2011 for eve-teasing. After hearing senior Prosecuting Officer J.P Singh for the State, the Judicial Magistrate awarded one month imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 to the accused.
According to the police, on 26th July 2011 complainant (victim) gave a written complaint to Hira Nagar Police that she was running a shop near National Highway and accused use to harass her on phone and in public. JNF
