Establishment of permanent High Court Bench demanded

BHADARWAH : President District Bar Association Doda Advocate Imtiaz Mir has demanded the establishment of a Permanent high Court Bench of Jammu and Kashmir High Court in Chenab Valley Region.
In a statement issued, Advocate Mir has said that for providing speedy justice and justice at the Door step as guaranteed under the constitution Chenab Valley region deserves to have a permanent Bench of High Court decide the right of the people from this far flung area.
He further stated that thousands of cases from the region are pending disposal before the high court which are not being decided from decades. Appeal from the motor accidental claim tribunal are pending where in crore of rupees as compensation has been with held to poor labourers and to the relations of those killed in road accidents simply because the cases are not being heard speedily by the High Court, he said.
He has appeal to all the political parties to treat it as a human issue, keep it on the priority of their manifesto and sincerely struggle for the establishment of a permanent bench of the High Court in the region for the welfare of thousands of poor justice seekers. He further stated that the lawyers community in Chenab Valley has been raising this demand since long and that the lawyers community here would not desist from resorting to a full leg agitation in case the Govt. does not full fill the demand.
