JAMMU: An Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) candidates sponsored by Khadi and Village Industries Commission Jammu, conducted by SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI) concluded here on Monday.
About 25 candidates from different parts of Jammu District participated in the programme. A function was organized in which certificates of participation were distributed by Executive Officer, KVIB, Pawan Gupta.
Gupta interacted with the candidates and guided them for taking maximum advantage of PMEGP Scheme and assured that every possible help/guidance will be extended to them for addressing difficulties faced by them in starting/ running their business ventures.
Director, RSETI, Virender Kumar Sood maintained that many training programmes like cutting and tailoring, AC and refrigerator repair, electrical home appliance repair, computer basics, soft toys making, beauty parlour management, and computer hardware and DTP etc. will be conducted by the RSETI depending upon local requirement. “After completion of these courses, the institution also helps entrepreneurs for credit linkage with financial institutions for their settlement”, he added.
Counselor FLC, Mohinder Kumar interacted with the participants and asked the participants to making saving some income as their habit for future needs.
