RAMBAN: In order to provide accommodations to victims who have lost their houses in recent incessant rain followed by lashing floods in the district, District Development Commissioner, Ramban Farooq Shah Bukhari convened a meeting of Tehsildars and other related officers at his office chambers.
DDC directed all Tehsildars to ensure accommodation for suffering families in nearby school buildings, Panchayat Ghars etc to protect them from the cold. He further directed the officers to submit list of affected families who are living in open in their respective areas so that the PWD constructs shelter sheds for them near the existing school buildings if the accommodation is schools falls short off requirements so that the affected families may not suffer any more in coming winter.
