‘Enhance cash relief, give employment’

JAMMU: To highlight various demands of Kashmiri Pandit migrants, ongoing protest of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) & Soan Kashmir Front J&K (SKF), which started on October 2, 2020 at Jagti Township Jammu under leadership of its President Shadi Lal Pandita continued on Wednesday. The protestors were demanding enhancement in cash relief besides other demands.
Speaking during the protest, Shadi Lal Pandita said that we have been protesting in Jagti Township for last more than 75 days but Government is least considerate towards our demands. We would like to inform Government that monthly cash relief of Kashmiri migrants is very low, as such same should be enhanced from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month, he added.
“We demand that a job should be given to those houses /families in which no family member is working. We also demand at least 5,000 class 4th jobs for migrants,” said Pandita, adding that KPs would continue their agitation till fulfillment of all demands.
