After the humiliating defeat in the Lok Sabha election, followed by successive drubbing in the Assembly elections in Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress seems to have lost its mind. This is evident from the statements of its leaders and spokespersons, shockingly expressing doubts about the incident of detection of a suspicious Pakistani boat (with crew and explosives) by the security agencies, which was heading towards Porbandar in Gujarat.
Instead of appreciating a very successful operation by the agencies and the Coast Guard preventing a suspected terror attack on our soil, we have the Congress singing in tune with Pakistan, by publicly denouncing the operation as stage-managed by the NDA Government.
Readers may recall that during the Kargil war too, the Congress had criticised the then NDA regime and refused to participate in the Vijay Divas events. Also, a few of its senior leaders had doubted the genuineness of the Batla House encounter, and some had even expressed apprehensions about the terror attack of 26/11 being the handiwork of Hindu groups, and not Pakistan.
