RAJOURI: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under Romeo Force, conducted elocution competition at Government Middle School, Khankhari, District Rajouri. The topic of the elocution competition was ‘Swachh Bharat Campaign’. The students took active interest in the elocution competition and were full of enthusiasm to showcase their talent. The subject was specially chosen to imbibe the habits of cleanliness, hygiene and civic sense amongst the present generation keeping in mind the campaign for a clean India started by the Govt.
In all four teachers, 35 students and three civilians participated in the event. The students and the school authorities expressed their desire for conduct of similar programmes in the future. Such programmes help in broadening the thinking of the youth.
On this occasion, headmaster of the school conveyed his gratitude to the army for taking up the noble cause of this nationwide campaign. He said that a concrete action plan should be made with the participation of all sections of the society to bring out mass awareness and lasting behavioral change in all to achieve this goal.
