SAMBA: A delegation of BJP workers under the leadership of DDC Ghagwal Suresh Kumar (Falli), called on Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation MD Anant Tayal, demanding increase in capacity of receiving station of Ghagwal in Samba district from 10 MBA to 20 MBA. Delegation also apprised the officer about the present electricity problem in Ghagwal sub division. DDC said that for the last 15 days, the power system in the UT is completely fail as people are not getting electricity for the whole day.
MD assured the delegation that the process may take two-three months and for this tendering process has been started. He assured that this demand will be fulfilled soon. Later delegation also met Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Chander and demanded permanent appointment of Tehsildar Ghagwal as people are facing a lot of hardships for revenue works.
Senior BJP leaders Rashpal Verma, Sarpanch Tarsem Singh, Sarpanch Ajit Kumar, Sharma Sarpanch Jasbir Singh, Ex- Sarpanch Devraj Sharma, Kishore Upadhyay, Gopal Krishna Goli, Suresh Sambhyal, Naib Sarpanch Rajneesh Jasrotia, Harnam Singh, Nishant Sharma were also present.
