GANDERBAL: District Election Officer Ganderbal on Saturday convened a meeting of all the Zonal and Sectoral officers of civil and police department, Army and paramilitary forces and reviewed the election preparedness for the forthcoming Assembly elections in the district which are scheduled to be held on 25th November, 2014.
General Observer for Ganderbal constituency, Ramesh Surwadi, General Observer for Kangan constituency, G.N Shivamurty, Police Observer for District Ganderbal H.C Nath, Expenditure Observer for District Ganderbal Anand Uphadyay and SSP Ganderbal were also present in the meeting.
DEO stressed on the conduct of free, fair and peaceful elections in the district. In this regard he emphasized on the synergy between civil administration, police and paramilitary forces so that the security of the voter is ensured.
Besides Deployment plan, Police Communication Plan and Law and order were discussed threadbare in the meeting and necessary instructions conveyed to all the concerned.
The Police Observer H.C Nath called for coordinated approach to deal with any sort of exigencies during poll process.
