Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam: Yudhvir Sethi initiates plantation drive organized by Arogya Bharti

JAMMU: Yudhvir Sethi, Vice President of BJP, J&K, today initiated a plantation drive organized by Arogya Bharti at Ward No 1 and Ward No 18 in connection with the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. This noble initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability and honor the nurturing spirit of motherhood through tree planting.
Speaking at the event, Sethi emphasized the significance of the campaign, which was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to foster a greener and healthier India. “The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is a heartfelt initiative by our Prime Minister to encourage every citizen to plant a tree in honor of their mother. This act symbolizes gratitude and acknowledges the life-giving and nurturing qualities of motherhood,” he stated.
Yudhvir Sethi urged the public to actively participate in this campaign and contribute to the creation of a greener environment. “I call upon every resident of Jammu to join this movement. Planting a tree is a simple yet impactful way to give back to our environment and ensure a healthier future for the coming generations. Let us all take this opportunity to make a difference,” he said.
The plantation drive saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, volunteers from Arogya Bharti, and various community leaders. The event not only focused on planting trees but also included educational sessions on the importance of environmental conservation and the benefits of trees in urban areas.
Later, Yudhvir Sethi also took part in a plantation drive at Megh Bhawan near Dogra Hall, Jammu. He planted saplings alongside community members and reiterated the importance of collective efforts in environmental conservation. “The responsibility of protecting our environment lies with each one of us. Through such initiatives, we can ensure a sustainable and green future,” he remarked.
