JAMMU: Expressing apprehension about implementation of 7th Pay Commission, Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) urged Govern-ment to clarify issues like decision on arrears from January 2016 to April 2018, and revival and financial support to public sector units.
The issue came for discussion in the meeting of EJAC held here under the leadership of State President Abdul Qayoom Wani.
The meeting however hailed the decisions on the regularisation of temporary employees, removal of pay anomaly of all departments, special funds for the release of salary to the employees working under SSA, RMSA, NYC, MGNREGA, NRHM, HDF, SBM and other centrally sponsored schemes, medi-claim insurance policy for non-gazetted employees, renewal of treasury system and other decisions.
Wani said that Government has not mentioned about the arrears of 7th Pay Commission in favour of State Employees, public sector and pensioners from January 2016 to April 2018.
“It was seriously felt that public sector corporations were ignored and nothing has been put in the budget for their revival, budgetary support and regularisation of their salaries”, he said urging upon the Government and to clear the stance.
The meeting also felt that the demands of pensioners and the arrears regarding 7th Pay Commission have not been cleared.
The meeting said that overall the budget is employee friendly but certain issues are still to be addressed and confusions are to be cleared during the current budget session.
Wani said that a high level delegation will call on Finance Minister and will discuss the issue of arrears of 7th Pay Commission from January 2016 to April 2018 in favour of state employees, public sector and pensioners and other issue related to employee fraternity will also be discussed.
