JAMMU: Employees Joint Action Committee hailed the employee friendly approach of Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu regarding the implementation of Seventh Pay Commission.
In the meeting held here on Sunday, President EJAC, Abdul Qayoom Wani said that the clarification with regard to the arrears of Seventh Pay Commission with retrospective effect by the Finance Minister clarified doubts regarding the implementation of Seventh Pay Commission which has otherwise created confusion among employees and pensioners of the State.
Wani said the decision for regularisation of temporary employees, redressal of pay anomalies, special budget for salaries to the employees working in Centrally Sponsored Schemes, medi-claim for non-gazetted employees etc are all employee friendly decisions for which the committee thanks Chief Minister and Finance Minister.
In the meeting it was felt that PSUs have been ignored in the budget and EJAC has decided to continue struggle for pending issues like financial support to PSUs, pensionary benefits to PSUs employees and release of salaries.
EJAC leaders who attend the meeting include Ganesh Khajuria, N.S Jamwal, Jagdish Sharma, Wajhat Dorani, Khalid Mehmood, Peer Nisar, Vinod Sharma, Dildar Singh, Kuldeep, Surinder, Bashir Ah Thokar, Sajad Ah. Paray and Mohammad Altaf Mir.
