Eid-e-Milad celebrated with religious fervour

BHADARWAH: Eid-Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated with full religious fervour, gaiety and enthusiasm throughout the region on Friday.
On the auspicious occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (Birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed SAW) several programmes including recitation of Quraan, Dars-e-Quraan, Darse Hadees ,Naat Khawani and others were held throughout Chenab valley.
On the occasion of this auspicious day people gathered in their respective Mosque to participate in the congregation and processions.
At Bhadarwah, the main function was held at Historical Jamia Masjid Bhadarwah where hundreds of devotees took part in religious procession which was taken out from Jamia Masjid, which after passing through Masjid Mohallah, Pasri Bus Stand, Sadar Bazaar and Eidgah Road culminated back at Jamia Masjid.
The Milad-Un-Nabi programme was started with the recitation of Quraan verses by Imam. On the occasion a programme on serat-un-nabi was also held and Naat Khawani,Darse Hadees,Darse Quraan and others were also presented by the participants.
At Kishtwar, Eid Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated at Jamia Masjid Kishtwar with huge participation of public.
A huge Milad procession was also carried out at Kishtwar in which hundreds of devotees participated and various prominent Muslim Scholars (ulemas) made their speeches and threw light on the teachings and working of Prophet Mohammad (SAW).
Similar programmes were also held at Sartingal, Ramban, Batote, Gool, Sangaldaan, Gandoh, Assar, Bhalla and other parts of Chenab valley and reports said that huge gathering of people participated in the religious processions in their respective areas.
In Doda District, the main programme was held in Doda town where large number of people from different localities assembled at Markazi Jamia Masjid Doda to join a Milad procession.
The procession entered Nehru Chowk area and after passing through Gattu Mohalla, Eid Gah Road, Astan Mohalla via Bharath road at it passed through main market near Bus Stand Doda and later culminate at Eidgah Doda where religious scholars threw light on teachings of Islam.
The procession was led by Imam Jamia Masjid Doda Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy.
Senior administrative officers including Deputy Commissioner Doda Bhawani Rakhwal, SSP Doda Mohammad Sharief, SP Operation, ASP Doda Vijay Kumar Khullar, Tehsildar Doda Nasir Ali Natnoo and Dy SP Hqr Iftikhar Ahmed Qureshi were also present on the procession.
RAMBAN: Eid Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated by the Muslims with great religious fervor across the district Ramban..
In this connection special programmes were held at various places including District Headquater town Ramban.
A procession was also taken out after offering Friday Prayers from Maitra Mosque Ramban and after passing through different areas of Ramban town was concluded back mosque.
RAJOURI: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli attended a religious function organized in-connection with celebrations of Eid-ul-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) at Kalakote. Hundreds of people across the district Rajouri attended the conference where various religious scholars threw light on the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (SAW).
