Educational institutions celebrate I-Day with patriotic fervour

JAMMU: Vishwa Bharati College of Education celebrated ‘Independence Day’ with gaiety and fervour.
The programme began with the flag hoisting by chief guest A.K Bhat, President Vishwa Bharati Women’s Welfare Institution also present on the occasion were Dr. S.K Koul, Secretary Vishwa Bharati Public Hr. Sec. School, Prof. A.N Sadhu, Secretary College of Education, Principal & Staff College of Education.
The celebrations began with lighting of traditional lamp followed by welcome address by the Principal Prof. Sunita Kampassi. The students performed colourful programme. The skit on cleanliness drive, a documentary on India’s Independence journey and its aftermath of its progress. A fancy dress competition was the highlight of the day in which Meenu, Slinder & Roshan bagged 1st , 2nd & 3rd position respectively.
A.K Bhat, Chief Guest spoke about the sustenance of the independence which is achieved after a long struggle.
Prof. A.N Sadhu, Secretary College of Education appreciated the performances and speeches of the day and directed the would-be teachers to be the epoch of change and carrier of positivity to the children in their hands. Present on the occasion were Dr. O.P Razdan, Dr. S.K Koul, Secretary, School, Principal staff and students of the college & School.
The programme was coordinated by Prof. Nirmal Razdhan who presented the vote of thanks. Megha anchored the programme.
Independence Day was celebrated in Rich Harvest School wherein students showcased a colourful spectacle of India’s vision through their performance.
The programme began with a musical rendition by class 5th students followed by a musical ballet depicting different facets of our glorious freedom struggle.
To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest, Ruchi Charak unfurled the Tricolour and all in unison sang the national anthem and expressed the joy of freedom.
The Principal, Anita Bhatia called the youth as the wealth and the hope of the nation who will lead the country and make it a great nation of the world.
The Trustee Ruchi Charak said, “Freedom is a gift, a privilege and a challenge. It does not consist in doing what one wants to do but doing what is expected to do.”
To salute the freedom fighters and pay homage to Martyrs, Model Academy celebrated 70th Independence Day with great zeal enthusiasm at both its branches.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER and Rupa Gupta Management Representative graced the occasion. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Principal P.K Shrivastava, Vice Principal Usha Gadoo, Manjri Sehgal Manager Academics, Manju Vali Convener CCA, J.K Dhiman Administrative Officer and Usha Chuni Sports Convener.
A bouquet of cultural programme was presented by students in the form of speeches, patriotic dance and poems.
To mark the occasion an ‘Inter House Patriotic Group Song’ competition was organized. Darwin House stood first followed by Edison House and Newton House. Humming Buds, the Pre-School also celebrated Independence Day both its branches. A group song ‘Mera Mulk Mera Desh’ was sung beautifully by the children.
Dr. Adit Gupta also called upon the students to rededicate themselves to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the founders of our nation. Dr. Gupta said that the need of the hour was to reflect on the values and principles on which the nation is based and must uphold them not through words but through actions in our everyday lives.
Rupa Gupta exhorted the students to contribute in nation building with dedication and sincerity. P.K. Shrivastava impressed upon them to walk on the path of Gandhiji and guard the nation by right thinking.
Kanika Mahajan welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by Mehul Sehgal of class 11th and vote of thanks was proposed by Sheetal Sharma. The programme was co-ordinated by Manju Vali Convener and Amarjot Kour Cultural Co-ordinator.
Humanity Public School celebrated 70th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. Principal Gaurav Charak unfurled the Tricolour, followed by National Anthem.
Students and teachers shared their views through motivational speeches, poetic recitations, songs and various colourful cultural programmes. The celebration was marked by a crisp ceremonial parade.
Principal Gaurav Charak said that we got this Independence with great sacrifices. Now it is our duty to make our country prosperous and developed one.
RM Public School organised inter-house competitions and students and teachers were dressed in Tricolour. The programme began with the welcome speech of Gagandeep Kour. Chief Guest, Rita Mengi, the Trustee of RM Public School while the Special Guest was P.K Dhar, Principal of RM College.
Rita Mengi and Principal Ravinder Kour appreciated the efforts of student and teachers.
JK Montessorie School celebrated Independence Day. Children sang patriotic songs and also shared the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
The school management along with the school staff hoisted the National Flag.
Students of May Fair Schools Chand Nagar/Janipur and Chinore celebrated Independence Day with full zeal.
A fancy dress competition was organised for pre-primary wing, students were dressed as national leaders. Students presented patriotic dance items for expressing love for the nation.
Abhey Basur-Director May Fair Schools appreciated the students and also threw light on the importance of this day.
Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Vishwa Bharti Public Higher Secondary School, Akalpur Morh.
The members of the school governing board A.K. Bhat-President Vishwa Bharati Women’s Welfare Institution, Prof. A.N Sadhu- Secretary Vishwa Bharati College of Education, Dr. S.K. Koul-Secretary Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary school along with Prof. Sunita Kampassi-Principal Vishwa Bharati College of Education, Prof. Annapurna Koul-Principal Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School Jammu and all the students and teaching faculty were present. Uttama Punjabi delivered a welcome address to all dignitaries.
Patriotic song kick start to the programme which was followed by speeches, songs, skits and dances.
Head boy Aryan Raina of Class 10th and Keshav Blaria of class 1st delivered their speeches.
Chief Guest A.K Bhat blessed the young students and advised them to work hard and become adept to serve their nation efficiently.
The whole programme concluded with vote of thanks by Shakti Raina. In-Charges of cultural committee Ramesh Kalotra and Anuradha were the able organisers of the programme. The programme was compared by Komal Bhat and Sumedha Mujoo from class 12th.
Vinayak Institue of Nursing and Paramedical Science, Kunjwani celebrated the 70th Independence Day at college premises.
All paramedical and nursing students, teaching fraternity and staff members were present who paid tribute to all the freedom fighters and martyrs who laid down their precious life to make our life secure and happy.
Director of Institute, Dr. Rakesh Zutshi wished that we will contribute every little bit in the progress of country.
Co-ordinator of Institute, Gurveen Kour Sasan organised a seminar on topic ‘Importance of Independence Day’ and Vikrant, Inderparkash. Neena Kundal, Neha, Adarsh and Sandeep participated with great feeling of patriotism.
The function began with the unfurling of National Flag by Amardeep Singh, Chairman of the Institute who also emphasised on the importance of Independence Day and advised the students to be part in development of nation.
Baljeet Kour (IT Deptt.), Shaveta Verma (HR-Manager), Baldev (Manager), Vishal (Security officer) and Raman Kumar (Transport Officer) contributed to make the function a success.
To mark the celebration of 70th Independence Day a function was organised at DCM Public School Akhnoor.
SDM Akhnoor Sunaina Sharma was the Chief Guest. Present on the occasion was the Chairman of the School, Satpaul Sharma, the Managing Director Dheeraj Sharma, social activist Jugal Kishore and the Principal of the School Rama Jamwal. The items presented by the students left everyone mesmerised and spellbound. The SDM Akhnoor inspired the students to be mentally and physically sound by practising Yoga and meditation. Welcome address was given by the Principal, Rama Jamwal while vote of thanks was presented by Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma. The Chief Guest also planted a sapling in the school garden and motivated the students to plant more and more trees.
Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu celebrated Independence Day. The celebration started with flag hoisting ceremony followed by National Anthem. A series of colourful dances and songs filled the celebration of 70th Independence Day of India. Girls of Class 7th, 8th and 9th presented Saraswati Vandana. Boys and girls dressed up in Tricolour performed on the song Chak de India, Little one’s dressed up as freedom fighters told about the contribution of leaders who fought for our country. Raghav of class 9th performed Solo Dance.
Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson, Rohini Aima urged the student to be disciplined and work for the national efforts to bring national harmony.
Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairperson of the School also wished the staff and students happy Independence Day.
The programme was coordinated by Nidhi Kohli and conducted by Rohail and Rashi (Passion House Teachers).
Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur in collaboration with Bhaskar Degree College Udhampur organised a programme on the theme “Yaad Karo Kurbani” in its campus.
Students of both the colleges enthusiastically participated in different acts, dances, skits and patriotic songs.
Chairperson told the students that the free air that we breathe in this country is the gift we got from our past generation who martyred themselves for the nation.
Dr. Anita Bali, Principal of the College encouraged the students to get acquaint with nationalistic spirit, so that they can also follow the footsteps of the icons of freedom struggle of our country. Himani and Sudhiti compered the programme.
