JAMMU: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School and Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur celebrated festival of colours ‘Holi’ with fun.
In order to aware about the festival Holi, Shiksha Niketan celebrated the Holi in its premises.
An Inter-House Singing Competition of Class 6th was conducted based on the theme Holi.
Elwin Kour from class 7th gave speech on Holi.
The main motive of speech was to spread the awareness among the students for the festival of colours Holi.
In the singing competition first, second and third positions were bagged by Gandhi House, Gurunanak House and Amar House respectively.
Principal of the School, Rameshwar Mengi appreciated the students and motivated them to take part in co- curricular activities.
The festival of Holi was celebrated with great pomp and fervour at Delhi Public School (DPS), Udhampur. The students of Pre-Primary Wing and the staff got together to play Pholon ki Holi.
The students made colours from the marigold flowers, beetroot, leaves of flowers etc.
This kind of activity helps children to understand the importance of rich Indian culture and heritage.
The Principal of the School, Kunal Anand spoke to the students to play safe Holi and to keep away from synthetic colours and dyes. He wished all the parents safe and colourful Holi.
Kidzee, a pre-school of Zee Learn Limited, celebrated Holi at its Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat, Talab Tillo and Trikuta Nagar branches with religious fervour and enthusiasm.
The celebration started with a special assembly in which the students highlighted the concept behind the Holi celebrations.
The facilitators along with the kids enjoyed the festival by playing colours with each other.
Mount Litera Zee School, Aanad Nagar, Bohri and its Junior Wing Kidzee celebrated Holi in the school premises in the presence of Chairman Parneesh Mahajan, Liaison Officer, Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Manikarnika Bhasin, Coordinator Radhika Mahajan, staff and students.
Parneesh Mahajan said that Holi is one of the important festivals of the Hindus. It is celebrated all over the country and indicates the end of winters and beginning of spring. Holi is celebrated to mark the victory of truth over evil.
The function was celebrated with a special assembly in which the students were given demonstration regarding this festival and made aware about the theme behind it.
The facilitators along with the students enjoyed the festival by playing colours with each other.
In the end, the colours were distributed among the children to play Holi.
Ranjit College of Education celebrated Holi festival in the campus in which a special discussion on the topic ‘civic sense and our fundamental duties’ was held. Principal, Dr Renu Gangal emphasised to play safe Holi and said that all should become a responsible citizen who should have a civic sense so that is our society become example for others to follow.
Manmeet Singh, Chairman of the College, congratulated the students and staff for their wonderful thought about the festival of colours.
Holi Festival was celebrated at Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School, Rajpura Mangotrian, with great enthusiasm. Students sprinkled colours on each other. Teachers also participated in it. The tiny toddlers of the Kindergarten Wing played with water guns and presented a colourful programme, clad in Radha Krishan costumes. The principal of the school encouraged the students to celebrate each festival with great gaiety.
Kidzee Skylark School, Sidhra celebrated Holi festival with great joy and enthusiasm on Wednesday.
The staff and the students rubbed ‘Gulaal’ on each other’s face. Principal greeted the students and staff and said that Holi is considered as the festival of brotherhood and unity. She also added that this colourful festival, being a symbol of love and merriment, gives an opportunity to connect with our dear ones, provides a chance to lead a fresh life.
